About CL Corp

Aircraft precision.
Applied to your boat.

CL Corp was founded to close a real gap in Okinawa’s marine industry — bringing military-grade technical standards to the people and businesses who depend on their vessels.

Why we exist

Okinawa needed better marine technicians

Okinawa is surrounded by water. Resorts, dive operators, charter companies, and the US military community all depend on boats that work — reliably, safely, every time. But finding qualified marine maintenance technicians on the island has always been harder than it should be.

CL Corp was founded to fix that. We’re a small, focused team based right here in Okinawa, providing professional boat maintenance, marine electrical work, and OXE diesel engine services — with the kind of technical discipline that most marine shops simply don’t bring to the job.

The founder

15 years keeping aircraft flying

Before founding CL Corp, our lead technician spent 15 years as a US military aircraft maintenance specialist — working on everything from electrical systems and engine overhauls to structural modifications and serving as a certified safety inspector.

That background isn’t just a resume line. Military aviation maintenance is one of the most demanding technical disciplines in the world. Nothing gets signed off without documentation. Nothing gets installed without understanding the system it connects to. And nothing — ever — gets overlooked because it seemed minor.

“On an aircraft, a wiring fault or a missed inspection can cost lives. I bring that same level of accountability to every boat I work on.”

When the opportunity arose to build something in Okinawa’s underserved marine maintenance market, the skill set transferred directly — and CL Corp was born.

Why it matters

What aviation training brings to marine work

The disciplines are different. The standards are the same.

📋
Documentation first
Every job is documented. You get records of what was found, what was done, and what was used — not a verbal summary and an invoice.

🔍
Systems thinking
Aviation technicians are trained to understand how every system interacts. We don’t fix the symptom — we find what caused it.

Safety inspector mindset
15 years signing off on aircraft means nothing passes that shouldn’t. That habit doesn’t switch off on a boat.

Electrical expertise
Military aircraft electrical systems are extraordinarily complex. Marine electrical work, by comparison, holds no surprises — and gets done right.

Our mission

“Deliver reliable, professional marine maintenance and electrical services that protect our clients’ vessels and keep Okinawa’s boats on the water — safely, every time.”

How we work

What you can expect from CL Corp

Straight answers
We tell you what we found and what it needs. No upselling work that isn’t necessary, no vague estimates.

On-island response
We’re based in Okinawa. Fast turnaround, on-site service at your marina, no waiting for mainland contractors.

Work that lasts
We don’t do quick fixes. Everything is done to a standard that holds up in Okinawa’s salt environment and heavy usage conditions.

Small team, real accountability
You work directly with the people doing the work — not a dispatcher and a rotating roster of contractors.

Let’s talk about your vessel
